That is total horse manure Rumn. The game is best served by the laws of the game and those of common sense being upheld without fear or favour. We are not talking about the authority of the referee, we are talking about the infalibility of the referee. If the referee made a mistake his mistake should not be compounded by some misguided notion that a referee's position is weakened by having made the wrong call.
Snipe that's the 2nd post in as many minutes that I agree with you, you must be a cantankerous aul fart as well >EW
"Curmudgeon" is the correct term for me I believe. Although I was described today as the "cynic in residence" which rang true for a lot of my colleagues.
I think we have agreement then - I can confidently state that yer both cantankerous aul curmudgeons! :thumleft:

Could be worse, you could be Grumpy as well as cantankerous and curmudgeonly!

I have yet to finalise my busy schedule for Monday, but there is a fair chance I will be in attendance.
won't happen then - "fair chance" is an expression that is alien to anyone or thing to do with Ulster Rugby,

Fear not Doak had this to say regarding the defence case for Hendo: " We have a few bits and pieces we're looking at..."

I have yet to see where a referee has been publicly told he was wrong .
By that I mean where a Panel has decided the game must be replayed because of a decision of a referee .
Snipe even the laws of the game which you say are more important than respect of the referee state that the authority of the referee is absolute during the game and no panel will find otherwise .
The alternative would give rise to harassment of referees similar to that seen to often in Wendy Ball
