Your right Al will be a big miss , DTH away plus matadiver away though a few have signed extensions including The weegie figi and Man of the match .
Will worry about the world cup later just enjoying the night

Naiyaravoro will be more than an ample replacement for DTH. You're getting a fantastic winger based on what I've seen of him in Super Rugby.sssssss wrote:Snipe

You haven't seen me at my best yet. Let's be honest, you probably never will.

And so you should! I think it took some ulster fans until about 2002 to sober up after the '99 European Cup win
Re: Well done Glasgow
Having had a few pints I would have mention the figi winger that's coming but could not spell it drunk lol
A 19 stone Jona I am told though not seen him playing myself not sure how good he is , and I watch Super Rugby

Re: Well done Glasgow
The weegie Fiji man of the match reminds me a bit of big Nick. All the fancy skills, one handed offloads and all the rest, which look great when they come off, but absolutely shocking when they don't. Discipline wise they would also be very similar. Taking nothing away from him today mind you, cracking performance and thoroughly deserving of MOTM, the best player on the pitch by a country mile.sssssss wrote:Snipe

Still, if I was to pick a Warrior to have on our books it would be Strauss, by feck we could be doing with someone like him! Just as well Anscombe is away, he would've seen Mataneenaw as a great addition to his aquatics team.

In his wettest of wet dreams, Nick would never be as athletic as Nakarawa.Tazz #15 wrote:The weegie Fiji man of the match reminds me a bit of big Nick. Agreed with Strauss however, superb all season. Would love to see him in an Ulster shirt.

The fat turnip could probably do a job during the RWC thoughTazz #15 wrote:+1 Snipe, well done to Glasgow, players and fans, great show by both today, apart from thon prat Warrior, and their kicker at half time.Snipe Watson wrote:Superb couple of seasons of coaching from Gregor. His team totally emasculated Munster and took their game away by running hard and fast.
Their problem now will be maintaining their level and keeping their coach and with a few players moving on, most of whom will be missed, next season will be a whole new challenge. How will they react when they lose 20 players to the world cup?

Re: Well done Glasgow
You forget that Nick was the outstanding player in the Pro 12 in 12-13 season or was it 11-12 anyway, he was then rumbled. Likewise Nakarawa will have his day in the sun. I'm sure Glasgow fans love the way he runs with the ball and off loads. How long will it be before his waving the ball around becomes more of a liability than an asset? Teams are going to target him, just like Nick was targeted with chop tackles, you can only wave a ball around one handed for so long. He's still an excellent ball carrier and lineout operator though so his basics are sound. I'd take Gray ahead of him as a pure second row.StandUp wrote:In his wettest of wet dreams, Nick would never be as athletic as Nakarawa.Tazz #15 wrote:The weegie Fiji man of the match reminds me a bit of big Nick. Re: Well done Glasgow
Fair points but Nick has never had the acceleration or the sidestep of Nakarawa. Nick's speciality is to put the first tackler on his Brennan then see what happens after that. When opposition teams realised Nick needed to be chopped at the ankles his attack was blunted because we were somehow unable to place support runners on his shoulder to receive the offload.

Big Nick on form had one hell of a try-scoring record...StandUp wrote:Fair points but Nick has never had the acceleration or the sidestep of Nakarawa. Re: Well done Glasgow
Congrats Glasgow on a fine win. Great atmosphere at the match but it wasn't long before the Munster faithful were quietened.
Great reception for POC when he came out to warm up and for Al Kellock when he came on.
There were some folk on this board who belittled high risk offloading rugby and who obviously prefer safety first rugby. If proof were needed that is is great to watch and wins trophies, yesterday evening provided it.

Well done Glasgow.
On a slightly different note but it touches on the issue of the atmosphere at the match. The behaviour of the three local guys immediately behind me in the Memorial Stand was appalling. Even though there were lots of kids around, even though there were Ulster fans,Glasgow fans,Munster fans around, even when they were challenged, even when the stewards intervened (hopelessly) they continued shamefully and shamelessly.
Perhaps when they wake up sober this morning they might take a good look at themselves but I doubt it.I for one had a large part of the game ruined by their behaviour.
The infliction by some of their drunken selfish behaviour on others is not a phenomenon exclusive to rugby stadiums or Ravenhill but it is growing at our home ground and it will drive people away.

Re: Well done Glasgow
They should have been bucked out (going on what you are saying). One warning and then make an example of them. The message should soon hit home. Was at the cricket during the world cup at Eden park and the stewards in NZ are not to be messed with. Any nonsense and it's straight to the cops, who then seem to have a policy of escorting fans out to give them a bollocking for 10-15 mins (so they miss part of the game) and then let them back on for a last chance. Seemed to work although a bit harsh at times.

Define "local guys" where they from the cregagh estate?
What was their heinous crime, please share it with the group.
