Belfast Telegraph...

Am missing the rugby, boredom drives me to read the Telegraph online, five key headlines today (July 29th):

1. Video clip of motorist pushing a cyclist into a hedge
2. Brendan Rodgers fighting his estranged wife over a 102 property portfolio (as if 51 properties would leave him destiture)
3. Londonderry to be renamed Derry (God help us!)
4. Residents evacuated over pipe bomb (Ditto comment above)
5. James McClean (Ditto comment above squared)
6. Lord Adams declares that the Executive is 'teetering' (as if that's a bad thing!!)

Totally depressing, is this what we're like or is it the Telegraph, I lean towards the latter but maybe I'm the eejit!

The Telegraph ceased to offer news a long time ago.

I read the Guardian and the Daily Mail and realise the truth is in the Daily Telegraph

Sorry Marco, hate to be a pedant................... normally leave that to Grumpy .............but which of the 6 stories you bring us doesn't make the "5 key headlines"?

In the meantime I'm off to watch a motorist pushing a cyclist to his death.   Hopefully the cyclist is one of the infamous NDCC, those pink & black lycra wearing balloxi.

It's an excellent way to do it

Gather all information and form own opinion

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, not really a laughing matter I suppose, #scuminacar

Interestingly the poster of the video was not involved  Wonder how he got the footage, you'd almost think he was in the actual car.

I used to have an English teacher that was a pedant (that's a cyclist, right?), drove me to do science and ultimately the noble profession of civil engineering, thank the good Lord!

Marco you missed my favourite recent gem. 30 year old Belfast woman becomes UK's youngest grandmother.

The Tele used to be able to write, proofread, typeset, print and deliver a newspaper on the same day with up to the minute news and information.

With the exception of the few 'headlines' most of the website content is ancient - they don't even update between Saturday afternoon and Monday morning - quite pathetic.

And then there is Niall Crozier....

When I was a young warthog, I used to deliver the Tele Fourth, for Harry Walker. True fact that. Child labour for about 8 shillings a week, I was loaded, that's 96 penny whoppers.

Now look at them, Harry's dead & the Teleyupe should be.

MInd you I had no idea it had got as bad as you people say. I doubt I have bought the paper since 1978 when I moved to Derry and the website is only there for the odd rugby story, taken with a laddle of salt of course.

Spaking of Derry, I'll talye 2 things:

1) I used to be a regular reader of The Journal, infinitely superior to the Sentinel.

2) The clowns wanting to brand the city Derry need a huge boot up their rectums, as a considerably more tolerant city than Belfast, it risks trouble.
