Brett Herron

Post by LadyP »

Anyone know why the fall from grace, he was introduced to us as a Bath player and that he was the back up 10, last week he played for his club, Ballymena, who I believe got a thumping, Peter NELSON , straight back from a year out is now the second choice, is this another waste of wages, a player being paid silly money to play AIL.

Posted on the Zebre game thread because I saw it before this one, but he got injured for Ballymena a few weeks ago and missed the Edinburgh game. Is back now, but with Nelson doing fine there's no need to bring Herron back in.
You haven't seen me at my best yet. Let's be honest, you probably never will.

He isn't even close to the required standard of being just about acceptable.

It always amazes me why we go hunting and scouring the planet for a 'take a punt he has an Irish Granny'' recruit who inevitably turns out to be barely average ... when for half the price we can, with the help of the Schools Cup and our excellent Academy set up, grow, coach and develop our own 100% local level of bland utter mediocrity like a bloody conveyor belt.

Said at the time he was no where near the grade but hey what would I know compared to the UR network.. They sold him as a Bath player and even Kiss trooped out the line that he would have been part of the England U21 RWC winning squad had he been fit.

Fact is he was wasn't in the fecking squad beforehand whether fit or not. The OH was however from Bath so maybe they tried to sell another typical Ulster trait of BS.. Note to Les next time don't believe everything that Logan tells you.

There was of course a reason why he was playing at Richmond A's primarily to do with the fact that he wasn't good enough for Bath however he duel registered so they weren't going to dump him overnight.. Then along came Ulster with do you have anyone with an Irish granny line..

He wasn't good enough when he came and he isn't good enough now hence playing for Ballymena whilst we convert a FB to back up 10 who has been out for over a year.. Thank god he hasn't broken down yet unless last week is worse than we thought..

Ps was there anyone in the boot?

In fairness Cockers I remember well you did point up the bullshit about the lad's qualifications and how we were treated to more spin than a Sean Spicer volley of alternative facts.

He has shown me absolutely nothing to commend him and indeed I'have heard tales of him having delusions of grandeur, now we hear he is to follow a growing number of Ulster players into the courts. I assume he took ould Roger as his role model. I think he may be slower than Roger too.

He looks like one we could well cut our losses on. My feeling on the 10 shirt remains that wee have a good back up in Pete Nelson, Olding too is worth exploring given the multitude of centres when a few are available. That apart, we have a lad of similar age who for my money shows more promise, add in young Angus Curtis who seems a prodigy if South Africans are to be believed & that leaves Herron without a pot to pish in.

Meanwhile I hear Barbara has got a rugby gig in the USA, I just hope that he does not sell drugs or rape anyone as Trump might deport him to Ulster.

For feck's sake, Barbara couldn't jump on a woman...he'd miss. Then he'd knock her on rather than up.

The worst player I've ever seen playing for Ulster.

Is PJ re-signing or what? It's getting pretty late in the season for nothing to be announced.

Well Herron was meant to be worth a punt too from what English folk said... here's hoping Curtis has come to learn and work and that Herron will no longer be pissing in Ulster's pot.

Are the media allowed to discuss PJ?
