Can lock out Edinburgh next week for sure. If Munster win in Italy, then 2nd would be locked in. Connacht heavy favourites to finish 3rd in A at this stage.

It could shape up QF vs Connacht SF vs Munster F vs Leinster

For me after the high of last weekend, last night was a good does of reality. My expectation / benchmark for the season was to finish top three and into the Champions Cup. Last weekend clouded that for a while in my head.

Back to earth. Top 3 will be fantastic.

Would be happy with top 3, avoiding the Euro playoff!

In addition to qualifying in the top 3 it would also be useful to finish with more points than Connacht. With the review of the conferences for next season, finishing as the 4th placed Irish team could leave us in Conference A which is looking the tougher of the two conferences with Leinster, Glasgow, Scarlets, Ospreys, Cheetahs and Zebre.
Conference B looking slightly ‘easier’ with Munster, Cardiff, Dragons, Edinburgh, Benetton and Kings. As things stand the only likely change between those conferences will be Connacht and Ulster as every other placing by country is looking fairly certain.

That is all very true but if you are in Conference A you get a guaranteed weekend in ParmaImage

12-3 45 minutes Edinburgh penalty

Game has turned a little flat, hopefully no try bonus points.

:thumleft:

12 -20 Edinburgh penalty 70 minutes

Denying Scarlets the lose bonus is even better. Eliminates them all but mathematically.

Expecting scarlets to get 10 points in last 2 games so denying them anything here will be good for us. Really means it is winner takes all next Friday in Edinburgh.

Game over. 20 -12. One more win for us guarantees a play off for Heineken cup. Win next weekend guarantees league playoff and possible home quarter if leinster do the bis tonight.

Good result. Huge game v Edinburgh next week.

In A the Zebre Connacht game was grim. 6-5 to the WestiesImage Ospreys got BP win in Bloemfontein. Could catch Cardiff.
