That was an incredible game. I was expecting a total rout so the fact Ulster ran them so close is fantastic. Just gutted at how close we came.

There is a degree of similarity, but in the same circumstances, Robbie wouldn't have got within 10m of the try line.

I trust he won't read what's posted on here - he won't need our disapproval.
it was bad - no denying it - but if it wasn’t for Stockdale Ulster would have been watching the Leinster QF at home on TV.. He’s one of the best wingers in the world, we’re lucky to have him - he’ll never make that mistake again and now he needs to bounce back stronger Image
..one more thing

Great game to watch. Ulster produced a brilliant performance and nearly managed to win. Such a pity but fair fecks to all those Ulster players today.

Stockdale ripped them open and made an uncharacteristic mistake. I'm so proud of him and the entire team.

It is natural to feel a little disap >seeya pointed and ponder what might have been, I did say to a few friends that Jacob had “Diacked” but what a player he is, My spies tell me that Rory went straight over to him afterwards, that is leadership.

LOOK..... if any dickhead had told me last summer that Ulster would have made the Q-F and have as that crooked grubbed weasel BOD admitted been the better team, I have guldered in their abysmally stupid countenance.

I didn’t expect us to win today but was blown away with how we showed up & very nearly nicked it.

Don’t be too hard on Jacob, these things happen, heck on another day another referee / TMO combo would have awarded that try - them’s just the breaks.

Given the mess we were in last year who would ever have dreamed we’d even have got to a Heino quarter final today.

Feeling optimistic about the future now.

Enjoyed that from beginning to end. Proud to be an Ulsterman. Ulster support immense. Loved the "are you Sexton in disguise" when Byrne missed his second kick at goal

And what about Luke - a glimpse of good things to come. When Addison is fit again there'll be some great centre pairings.

Recovering from the emotion of all of that. Left with a feeling of pride in our team. Who would have thought after the state of disarray of last year we would be talking about what might/should have been in a European QF.
So many great performances, defence was awesome.
Jacob is pure class, every time he gets the ball you think he is going to score. There is not many wingers in the world who would have beaten the 4 defenders to get over the line. The will be no ulsterman more frustrated than him this evening. Hopefully it will make him even better.
Also really chuffed for Luke Marshall

Gutted but so proud. We are on the up and with the proposed signings to come next year is looking rosy. I hope Dan uses tonight as a baseline for future performances.

The Ulster fans were magnificent. It felt like a home game. The bluenoses were insipid. They sung once. Only after 76 mins or so.

It's great to know that reinforcements are coming next season. Even getting Addison and Gilroy back will be good for the playoffs.
