Hard to read too much into Caves removal.

He looked to be holding his side after the initial tackle, could be a cracked rib more likely winded. What he did take was a head on head clash, it would have been interesting what the ref would have made of it had it been reviewed. The Kings player only seemed to attempt to wrap the arms after the head clash. When the tv coverage flashed to the bench a few minutes after Cave wasn't holding his ribs, no sign of ice and wasn't showing any signs of discomfort. Incidentally Marty Moore looked in no discomfort or didnt appear to have anything elevated or on ice.

My guess would be given the heavy concussion Cave had previously and the extended lay off at that time he was taken off as a precautionary. Having lost Louis earlier in the game the coaching team were astute enough to recognise Cave shouldn't be risked.

Just the few assumptions made there :thumleft:

Possibly.....at home to the Kings.

He may cover the back 3 on Sat, with Lowry covering 10 in the first instance and anyone fit and eligible who has ever played 12 or 13 covering the centres.

Rewatching the game now, Reidy interviewed at half time, he stated he'd be fit for the game next Saturday if selected.

He will start.
Please, no Treadwell.
Actually thought Treadwell looked good when he came on last night. Never realised Reidy was back next week.

Although we don’t have much option Lowry at full back worries me next week. Kearney is going to be hitting up and unders all day long and Lowry won’t be able to compete in the air with him..
You've got to get your first tackle in early, even if it's late.

The first thing he did when he came on was miss a tackle and then he gave away an incredibly stupid penalty. Some reasonable carries. The Kings at home with 13 men is a bit different to next week.

The penalty he gave away was Caldwell- Basque.

Frustrating player as if he gets it all together he could be real asset.

Sorry never realised this, haven’t seen it back. Just based my opinion on his carries

Luke would certainly give his all. If Cave is not fit, then Luke will have to start.

VDF and Toner. That's it. With the size of their squad how do (many of the players) feel about the fact that they barely play?

Healy/EOS
Cronin/Best
Furlong/Moore
Fardy/Henderson
Ryan/AOC
Ruddock/Reidy
Leavy/Jordi
Conan/Coetzee

We will be sweating on the fitness of Hendo and Marty. Leinster essentially have an international test pack. The carrying potential 1-8 in the Leinster pack is freightening. I think it will be a tanking but a great experience for the younger lads.

Oh I don't think it'll be a tanking ... Leinster usually put up a bit of a fight. :red:

Sorry I was getting into the southern lingo. What I meant was Leinster would be saying: 'tank you Ulster for de game, good luck in the semi final'.
