Sam Carter scores one...

Then immediately at fault for not tracking across and leaves a big gap behind Herring in the drift.

Getting battered by a team who are up to full speed. Too many individual errors.

A team of largely kids playing the Currie Cup winners at altitude. It was always going to be a struggle to cope with Cheetahs pace and accuracy that only comes with playing games.

We were defensively weak and there was a lack of leadership. A few good displays. Hume good but fell off a few tackles. I thought Andrew was a step up on Herring who had an indifferent game mixing the good with a poor lineout return.
Ian Davies was Ian Davies and we can't blame him for the loss but I was perturbed at the amount of Cheetah lazy runners and blockers out there that helped to contribute to the try total. On this display it is obvious that we gave work to do on the scrum and lineout. Also far too many missed tackles. Payne will have a busy week.

This was an Ulster team not Ulster kids team. Complete team looked as if they didnt know what to do. Tackling was non exsistant. Totally inept in every department. How many players are to come in to make a miraculous improvement? Hopefully twenty, I can only think of 4.Disgraceful performance.

This really was poor. Where was the defence? On this showing it's going to be another hard season. To be sure the Cheetahs were good, with speed and strong running but our tackling was dreadful. If this keeps up the cry of 'Jared out' can't be far away.

Altitude, the boys ran out of oxygen after half a dozen phases. Their blood would have needed at least 10 days to adapt to the thinner air.

How good to see Pienaar at his best. We were like a rabbit in headlights and completely burst after 50mins.

50 mins?

Our line was looking cream-crackered and full of gaps after about 30 mins.
