Re: Munster v Ulster Sat 5:15pm
Although the error count was high a BP is pleasing enough minus Henderson and Coetzee. Expected another yearly tanking there.
Chances of Addison being available next week (Any news on him??)
Back 3 of Stockdale, Gilroy, Addison.
Faddes was really disappointing yet again. On a positive note thought Carter and McGrath both played pretty well

You've got to get your first tackle in early, even if it's late.

We didn’t play high risk today. Fades looked like he’d been told not to offload. Pretty flat atmosphere and we probably would have won if we’d fully believed in ourselves.UlsterNo9 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2019 8:08 pmIt's hard to watch at times BUT and this is a big BUT we are trying to play a high risk high reward game, you're going to get the errors, albeit there are far too many at present. Still a work in progress for me.
I'd rather us try and fail at this style of rugby than play the aboslute Schmidt....... Ireland played at the World Cup, low risk, predictable, fewer errors.
We matched Munster at Thomand physically minus Coetzee and Henderson, that's very encouraging.
Good to see Bobby B back.

Ulster wanted to play high risk but the play at outhalf was too predictable against a defence which consisted of PoM Strander Scannell and Farrell in mid field .
Clooney’s NoC kicks where fine the problem was again they were predictable and the chasers became impeded and unable to contest the ball as the receiver was behind a wall of defenders .

Definitely a game we should have won, both sides underperformed. We owned them in the scrums apart from one and had a good lineout maul, that was the recipe to win the game imo. Stockdale has a bit of work to do to get back to form.

With BJ getting only a minute, it suggests that Burns will not be involved next week.
Good craic in Limerick. Nice steak too.

In the end Munster fortunate enough to grab the win.

My guess
McGrath
Herring
Moore
Carter
Hendy
Reidy
Murphy
Marcell
Cooney
Burns
Stockdale
Stu
Marshall
Gilroy
Addison
Wouldn’t be the side I would pick but that’s my guess.

Tbh maybe not all players on form, but that’s the strongest side on paper Ulster have been able to put out for quite a long time nowkingofthehill wrote: ↑Sun Nov 10, 2019 8:49 pmAddison fine.pip14 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 10, 2019 2:28 am Although the error count was high a BP is pleasing enough minus Henderson and Coetzee. Assuming everyone is fit, then the pack at Bath will be international in more ways than one.

Agree.
That isn’t the team I would pick. Lyttle would be in my side.

Re: Munster v Ulster Sat 5:15pm
If -- (and most coaches do ) -go for experience over form for big games -- its Gilroy for Lyttle
But the back 3 depends on Addison being fit in my book if he isn't then I'd move Stockdale to full back rather than on the wing --- (to run into line either side of McCloskey)
What is killing the Ulster backline at the moment-- is predictablity .

with BJ only getting 1min on Saturday, I think that they don't rate him. Surprised that Curtis started, more surprised that he played 79 mins
