Have to say, I think yesterday's proposal to go straight to a Leinster Embra final is farcical. A 6 team play-off would have a measure of credibility and could be completed over 3 weekends.

Agree. If they can’t fit in the knockouts then don’t bother.

I find it hard to see a situation where they are only able to play 1 game.

If there is any time, it's to see both the league playoffs and the HEC ko stages being concluded.

Could we not just say that we played this season for the fun of it - no league title, no cups, we just played for fun? The world won't fall apart if future generations look back to 2019/20 as the year with no winners and no losers. When we pick up the Heineken Cup, let it be the same teams as qualified last year or else have everybody in for a knockout competition and a subsidiary cup, plate, shield etc etc for those who get knocked out in the early rounds.

Does that mean that Allen Clarke gets his job back?

No mass gatherings of more than 5k in the ROI until at least September.

Well that should permit Munster to finish their home games.
