What is the situation with squad eligibility for the European competitions? Surely some of the players nominated initially may be out of contract or contracted to another club when this all resumes?

Thanks for the dates. The talk on the podcasts is that the squad will be the squad you have for next season. So players could end up playing in the competition that weren't there at the start and other players could miss out. For instance Rob Kearney has signed an extension to his contract to take him up to the end of the amended season and Saracens will lose all the players that move either permanently or on loan. There seems to be a cut off date of the 30th of June for contracts across all leagues but I don't know that for a fact.

Could players end up playing for 2 different sides in the same competition or is that precluded?

It seems that the new signings can play in the Pro14 but not the Heineken cup

It seems the Swiss Nigels (EPCR) have finalised the format for the 2020/21 H Cup, lots of press speculation etc. 24 sides with 8 weekends v normal 9. 8 groups of 3, 2 legged QF, one leg SF and Final etc.

As quarter finalists, I wonder if we might be seeded?

A 2 leg QF. That sounds crap.

What would be the point of a 2 leg QF? Just an extra game for £££?

Thus negating the advantage of a home draw.

There’s not likely to be much between the records of the top teams in the groups so a two-legged QF doesn’t seem to be an unreasonable solution.

Indeed. Only the group winners will be in the QF. Still an advantage of being a higher seed, i.e. avoiding a 2 leg QF v Leinster

Toulouse tickets for the original date being refunded. New ones will be sold if a crowd/travel etc is allowed.
