After a game and a half, it’s 18 pens and a DG.

Oh deary me - I'm distraught at getting something else wrong.big mervyn wrote: ↑Sun Apr 11, 2021 3:15 pmMy brother-in-law is married to a S Korean and I have to correct you on that one. The dog in VDF was excellent.
Unless you're Korean of course, in which case it is as much the accepted norm there as eating beef, pork or poultry is here.
Why VDF would want to get a dog into him before such an important match though beggers belief.
I still can't help thinking though that you missed the main point of my post.

No, I got it, but given my Korean "connection" I just thought it would be somewhat remiss of me not to address the common misconception about the extent of dog meat consumption there.Cap'n Grumpy wrote: ↑Sun Apr 11, 2021 4:20 pmOh deary me - I'm distraught at getting something else wrong.big mervyn wrote: ↑Sun Apr 11, 2021 3:15 pmMy brother-in-law is married to a S Korean and I have to correct you on that one. I mentioned the acceptance of it.
Red meat consumption is in decline over here, but it is still an accepted norm.

Well, I'll challenge the acceptance then. It's frowned upon amongst the very large younger urban populace while it is not forbidden to eat dog meat, to kill a dog for specifically it's meat is outlawed in most parts of the country.Cap'n Grumpy wrote: ↑Sun Apr 11, 2021 5:32 pmI didn't mention the extent of dog meat consumption over there.big mervyn wrote: ↑Sun Apr 11, 2021 4:45 pmNo, I got it, but given my Korean "connection" I just thought it would be somewhat remiss of me not to address the common misconception about the extent of dog meat consumption there.Cap'n Grumpy wrote: ↑Sun Apr 11, 2021 4:20 pmOh deary me - I'm distraught at getting something else wrong.big mervyn wrote: ↑Sun Apr 11, 2021 3:15 pmMy brother-in-law is married to a S Korean and I have to correct you on that one. Lots of vegetarians and vegans over here, and increasing in number all the time (poor sods ).
I would suggest that even if they became a majority, eating beef or whatever would still be an accepted norm.
Any way - challenge away some more if you feel like it, I'm bored of this now. It's a pointless exercise even if one of us could prove they were right.

Puts me in mind of the Man Utd chant for Ji-Sung Park
To the tune of Lord of the Dance ...
Park, Park, wherever you may be,
You eat dogs in your home country,
Could be worse, could be Scouse,
Eating rats in your council house.

Hope Son's da makes sure it's not too hot. If he burnt his mouth even slightly, he'd fall down and roll around like he was shot?

90% of dogs in Korea are inbred.
The other 10% are in soup or in stew.
