True. There will be many former ST holders who, having got out of the habit of going, just won't start again. Might have been better trying to find a way to keep more of those on board, rather than appealing to several hundred diehards who probably would have returned anyway.
My son an i are in that bracket, ST won't be renewed and should there be a return to full crowds, we will cherry pick the games we attend

Going to games, particularly as a ST holder, can become a habit, an addiction, a duty or a even a chore in some respects.

To look at it another way, some smokers will give up entirely, some will still have a few socially and some will return to a couple of packs per day.

Nothing coming in this Friday would affect Ulster having supporters at the game.

Correct.

I hope they go ahead but you can imagine someone complaining that Granny isn’t allowed to come and visit her eight grandchildren but that lot at Ulster Rugby are all sitting there in their thousands.

The way infection rates are going, granny might need to bring her boots and get to see her grandchildren as out half.

Just announced on BBC that no supporters will be permitted at elite sports for the next 4 weeks. I wouldn't hold my breath on that time being extended.

Arlene has waded in and said that's wrong.

DfC Minister had got it wrong and created chaos. Arlene had to step in. Coleraine already had part of their crowd in tonight in Irish League when they were told no crowd. Typical of the folks on the hill, clueless.

The auld Covid response is now starting to get a wee bit sectarian. Surprised it took them so long.

You'd think that but GAA league and championship games will take place over the next 4 week and this would have affected them.

Unless you mean Poots.

Ulster Senior Football Championship starts Halloween through to 3rd week November.

The temporary Minister of DfC screwed the pooch and got it very wrong.

Yeah . Poots said that infection rates were 6 times higher in nationalist areas. Interesting if true but probably not great for community relations. Nolan will probably stoke that one up to the max.
