I think Ian Humphreys is a fantastic call Bobbie, he was fantastic at maintaining the two metre rule when he was playing, ahead of his time.
Couldn't fault his hygiene either. His kit was still spotless after 80 mins

I don't know, during defensive sets, he was often so far out in the wing, he was amongst the great unwashed on the terrace.
Can I come out from behind the sofa yet?

I can understand there’s no fans so KO times can be moved about but a 6pm KO on a weeknight for 2 UK teams is fecking stupid. What’s wrong with a usual 7:45 or 8pm KO.

No doubt the almighty broadcasters / advertisers have something to do with it. I'd like to think that, if spectators were allowed in, things would be different.

It would have to be. Who could make it to the Kingspan for a 6 O clock kick off in normal times?

Pop quiz for all of you true / real / ultra Ulster supporters.....

When was the last time Ulster played on a Monday night? Have they ever played on a Monday night? If so who was it against and the score.

Are we unbeaten on a Monday in our entire history since 1875?

No idea if it was a Monday night but I do remember watching a game during the week against the (now definct) Celtic Warriors - one of Paddy Wallace's free starts at 10 in the early 2000's. Awful game

We played on the following Mondays:

27/12/04 v Leinster L 9-8
26/12/05 v Leinster L 24-19
27/12/10 v Leinster L 30-13
26/12/11 v Leinster L 40-13
1/1/18 v Munster W 24-17 (after being 0-17 at HT!)

Not sure if any of those were "at night" although, given the time of year, it was probably a tad gloomy - certainly for the annual Dublin thrashings!

Maybe the geniuses we used to see arranging days and times for the old Ravens/A games (i.e. 3:42 am Tuesday mornings) have been given a job for this one so they can claim they have been working at something and thus getting some furlough type pay packet.

I'd assumed it might be to help with travel in some way, shape or form. Maybe it's just to enable TV so be able to show two games back to back, assuming there is another at 7:45?

Ah ha, thanks Merv :salut:

Of course good old Boxing Day and New Years fixtures, my heads a marley, worse still I was at all of the home fixtures. Well it was the festive season, all of those days merge into one.

Midweek fixtures against regional sides and international tourist used to be a thing in the good ole days but I'm sure they were normally on a Tue or Wed.
