Cardiff Blues v Ulster Monday 6pm

Post by Neill_M »

TV: Premier Sports 2 and Eir Sport 1 live with highlights on TG4 9pm and full game on delayed coverage on S4C 9:35pm.

Seems the Blues are using a Dragons A v Cardiff Blues A game today to use up last game of Josh Turnbull's ban and he will be available on Monday. Apparently as long as it is a sanctioned game, this is legit practice.

Of course it is legal. There's always a way round things. :banghead:

Proof will be in the pudding so to speak either way when the teams are announced on Sunday.

Confirmation from Cardiff Blues on twitter that Josh Turnbull can play on Monday with the Dragons A v Cardiff Blues A game this week counting towards his ban.

Good to know for Ulster going forward if they are in the same boat.

At the time that was accurate as he would have missed 3 games- Round 2 v Connacht, Round 3 v Munster and Round 4 v Ulster, but they scheduled in the "A" game between rounds 3 and 4.

Skulduggery and bad faith.

We can play Henderson. He'll have missed 1 Ulster and 2 Ireland games. If only Queens were playing, he could have missed their 1st, 2nd and 3rd XV games and served his suspension in one afternoon.

They used to do this years ago, which is why they started dealing in weeks rather than matches and looking at fixture lists to determine the length of bans. I appreciate that things got feck up in March and pragmatism took over, but this is taking the pi$h.
Can I come out from behind the sofa yet?

Dunno if he’d get on the starting XV but he’d certainly get in it....

Do you think the tremendous form of Carter is likely to sideline him????

If Moore & Hume are selected will be good to see how they get on against Halaholo & Lee Lo in the centres.

I think Ian Humphreys is a fantastic call Bobbie, he was fantastic at maintaining the two metre rule when he was playing, ahead of his time.
