Treadwell exceptionally lucky there
"Sadly, rugby is now heading the way of soccer, fueled by pitiful websites and the anonymous vitriol of cowards." Tony Ward once again refocusing away from the real problems in Irish Rugby.

It looked like he stood his ground and was in two minds whether he needed to tackle or not. I’m beginning to lose interest in professional rugby.

Treadwell one tbh it felt like he was just standing there not trying to tackle the fella, if someone runs into your shoulder with their head don't see how it can be a red, but at present that is the way it is being officiated.

Scarlets clearly taking their inspiration from Ireland's performance yesterday.

Nearly getting sent off aside, Treadwell has been playing well.

Another win ground out although a very nervy last five minutes. How can you lose the lineout when the clock's in thee red? Sloppy. But, no point gurning when we get a bonus point win.

Re: lineout. I may be wrong but didn't the same thing happen away to Bath when Stockdale's intercept in the corner saved us?

Biggest issue was Luke’s injury hope it’s not as serious as it looked.
Take note and sort it in training ASAP

I would like to see the penalty count for tonight. I think ref refereed only one side.

Ulster played their get out of jail free card tonight. Bar the yellow, Treadwell was very good tonight but why the TMO encouraged the ref to reduce the sanction is beyond me. Wasn't malicious or anything but it's a clear red card going by the high tackle framework.

Treadwell's looked more like a reaction anticipation to being hit rather than an attempt to hit when viewed in real time, It looked worse in slow motion .

We've had worse referees but I think there was an element of attempting to ensure didn't run away with and that was never going to happen once Marshall went off he being the organiser of the Ulster defence in midfield.

Ulster got caught as Ulster have in the past playing a narrow defence and leaving to much space on the wings.

Ref was a homer ...

... unfortunately he saw all the red around the stadium and thought the team in red was the home team.

Dodged a bullet. Was a red card re Treadwell, ref was weak and didn't stick to his original view. Scarlets were missing their internationals and left 10 points on the pitch re missed kicks. Kick up the backside game.

Edinburgh next, last time out they were humiliated by Leinster, they will be motivated.

We got pinged more often than Bobby Ball’s braces. How we escaped with 5 points will remain one of life’s great mysteries.

The alacrity with which our follicly-challenged friend produced Matt’s yellow suggested that he was regretting his earlier leniency.
