Ulster team to play Toulouse, Heineken Champions Cup Round 1, Friday 11 December 2020 at Kingspan Stadium, kick-off 8pm, live on BT Sport / beIN Sport:

(15-9) Michael Lowry, Matt Faddes, James Hume, Stuart McCloskey, Jacob Stockdale, Ian Madigan, John Cooney;

(1-8) Eric O’Sullivan, Rob Herring, Marty Moore, Alan O’Connor, Sam Carter (Capt.), Sean Reidy, Jordi Murphy, Marcell Coetzee.

Replacements: John Andrew, Andrew Warwick, Tom O’Toole, David O’Connor, Matty Rea, Alby Mathewson, Stewart Moore, Craig Gilroy.

Pretty much as expected given the number of injuries we have.

Agreed considering availability no real surprises. The bench is strong enough to allow some variations if injuries or tactics dictate.

Looks weak. We need our big runners out in midfield to attack the 10-12 channel. Ntamack is quality but not the biggest and there is ground to be made there from stu if we get off the top ball. As with all French teams away from home their attitude will be key, I know ours won't be lacking.

They have gone with the same back line that beat Brive away last weekend.
I think they have also gone for a 6/2 split. Youyoutte, a second row, is number 23.

Lest We Forget it will be DAY 5074 and will be our first game back @ Ravenhill this season. Not East Terrace, think its Memorial Stand.

Ulster 21/10
Toulouse 8/15

Given that Ulster are 5 from 5 at home to Toulouse and were probably underdogs with the bookies in most, if not all of those, that seems a tad harsh (or possibly generous).

No kaino or huget is a plus for us; the replacements are not at the same level.

Russ will be along soon maybe.

Parking tonight lads. Won't be as strict around the ground will it? I'll not be as early as I normally would be.

Need to move the ball about a good bit and secure ruck ball, from the first game Toulouse didn't appear fit.
