Wow

Toulon have decided to pull out of tonight's game against Scarlets in the Champions Cup.

There was a positive Covid-19 case in Scarlets squad.

EPCR had deemed the game would go ahead,

Toulon say they are aware they could face "serious consequences."

"The health of our staff, players and their families is paramount."

RCT accepting that HEC20/21 is a waste of time and prefer to keep their players available for T14?

EPRC has awarded 28-0 (5pt wins) to Toulouse (vs Exeter), Lyon (away to Glasgow) and La Rochelle, at home to Bath.

All 3 "winners" now have 2 wins and are sitting pretty for the QF's.

Exeter are the big losers of the 3.

Scarlets will be awarded 5 pts vs Toulon no doubt so they will also be on 2 wins.

There will be more of these no doubt

It's rapidly turning into a shambles and Rnd 2 hasn't even started! Ulster picked a good season to lose a home HEC match.

Fortunate that the Xmas fixture is Away to Connacht given that all sport has been cancelled until 2 Jan. Also fortunate that the next home fixture is on the 2nd and not the 1st.

This could mean Exeter qualifying for the Challenge Cup which is on a par with Toulouse being in pool4 for the initial draw.
A total mess made worse with 4 game qualifying.

Now if Glaws have a case or two before tomorrow and Toulouse have the same in just over a month's time, this could become the most wonderfully innovative approach to competitive rugby ever and three cheers for EPRC.

Some cheeky turnip on their forum made the comment that the winner this year with all the COVID issues was still a more credible winner than Ulster in 1999. I was having some interesting thoughts how to educate this genius😉

This guy is really annoying me, vicariously through you. I know I’m probably being far too petty and sensitive but I suggest as punishment he be tied down in a chair in front of a large TV and be made watch one solid week of Stormont debate, surely a sentence proportionate to the crime!

Just tell him to cry more over that issue that didn't effect him in anyway. The obsession is real for some. BOD was the same. Achievements of their own teams are forgotten as their thoughts always return to us. Living rent free in their heads since 1999...

Not Heiny, but looks like zero disruption to Ulster's Christmas schedule re the Elite Sport ban.

Training allowed etc, source Winker Watson on twitter.
