Some interesting selections:

Backline looks quality.

Will be great to see a bit of Doak - has he been progressing quicker than expected? Is this a sighter for Dan as to whether he is up to it - could have ramifications re who gets released end of season, if he can put a performance in.

Exposure for MOxham & McIlroy. No Gilroy, he could be exiting.

Solid front row. Great to see Reid on bench at LH (will be good experience). TOT defo looks like he is filling out at TH while maintaining mobility.
Great to see McCann in the backrow & timoney given chance to retain place after last week.
Bench looks pretty strong with some youngsters too. Exciting selection. We should have enough to beat that Munster side.

Indeed.

Looking forward to it.

Leinster and Connacht to follow and I think we’re even allowed to get some pizza after 8 o’clock too.

Is in Finlay injured? He was very very good for u20s. Or has Doak leapfrogged him?

Leinster playing 7 starters who are ex St Michaels!
Must be a record for one school. St Michael's should start their own province at this rate and give the others in Leinster a chance. You might think that Michaels are monopolising the Schools Cup here, but they aren't, which makes it even more remarkable.

2 things concern me: the Ref, and Ben Healy’s goalkicking accuracy and range. We defo need to be on the right side of the ref.

Delighted that Mike has been handed the whistle for this one. Smashing wee fella. Well deserved gig in the 6N.

Looks like Leinster and Munster have effectively ignored the fact that their game was off and stuck to the planned selections. Sexton is only playing because Frawley is injured.

Two seasons ago he cost us with his decisions. Last season 3 matches 3 wins.
This season 1 match 1 win.
Show last week’s commitment and keep the penalties down and we’ll be grand.

Really like the look of that team - great to see more time for McIlroy and McCann and exciting to see Doak and Reid on the bench, hope they stand up well. Interesting to see Moxham again, haven't heard much about him but the coaches obviously see something in him.
Still need a good team performance to beat Munster- they've been going well and their young half-backs are excellent, especially Casey.

Finlay is an AIL player at best.

Doak is a class act and will be playing regularly for ulster soon enough.

Is this because Cooney is leaving?

A game we should win, given the teams.

Nice to see the youngsters given a run with a decent level of experience around them. Leinster have been the masters at this and I hope we no longer see the lambs to the slaughter teams of the past. Where is Jordi this week?

Jordi getting a rest, squad rotation I am guessing. We should see some fully gassed teams next week, given selections this weekend. Makes sense with you having to win your conference this season.
