Think we are signing a dud. Hope I'm wrong.

What position does Stevie Wonder play?

Blindside Flanker

It's a calculated gamble for 1 year, given the Coetzee situation. Hopefully Dan's connection with him has a reaction. He does seem to be phoning it in with Glasgow.

Nick Williams was another gamble when Ulster got him from Aironi. Given his performance at Munster, all that was expected was big profits for the fast food chains according to some.

If Leone is phoning it in then he seems to have lost the number!

Still, Big Nick is the comparison that gives us hope and he was never the European Player of the Year.

There are other gambles that did not pay off. There were some safe bets that turned out woeful. Like I say, I do hope to be wrong but based on current displays he looks a shadow of his former self.

Pro14 player of the year, but that was after he came to us.

He's certainly worth a punt for a year. If he has any idea of extending his playing career, maybe he recognises that Dan's the man to get the best out of him. This could be a good move for us and for him. At worst, a good year with us could get him bigger money in Japan.

If anyone one can, Dan the man can.

Not included in the Glasgow squad and not listed under unavailable players.

Discuss....

A case of why waste game time on someone who won’t be back?

A valid point. He's actually getting shred in the gym behind the scenes to rock the kingsplat next year.

I’m prepared to give him a fair go. Hopefully his conditioning will be good for start of season, and he’s settled off the pitch. Leo needs a big season just as much as we do from him. Dan McF binned off players ASAP when he arrived that weren’t good enough or had a poor attitude - it’s a reasonable punt, with empty coffers.
The idea of SMcC taking a Leo offload at pace, could cause 10/12s a world of brad pitt defensively. Hopefully the players read his offloading game, otherwise Reid & TOTs scrumming education will be very fast.
