Lowry is a wee gem. Pity he isn't a scrum half and then everybody wouldn't be constantly gurnin' about his size.

Madigan has been great from Day 1.

I don't gurn about his size my gurn is at about people who wish to place him in danger by playing him in position which maximises his exposure to danger.

Carberry is a similar player the lad has been out of the game for 18 months or more due to injury being asked to play the game Lowry would be playing at out half.

Thought Lowry deserved the MOTM but like others on this website I have to admit that i misjudged Madigan. I had him marked down as someone who would just be there to pick up his pay cheque. He has played really well for us and has shown real passion and committment.I maybe wrong but I suspect that he is equally surprised how much he has been enjoying life ar Ulster and he can be down in the HorseShow Bar in a leisurely couple of hours. I am glad that he has extended his contract as he is real asset to the squad. And must have run Lowry close for MOTM.

Full back suits him and Ulster —,The risk at out half is as much to Lowry as for Ulster .

At full back he has a better chance of avoiding being hit and being tackled on his terms . At out half he can be hit marginally late frequently . He could be giving 6 to 8 stone to a back row forward .

To night he had to play out half for 10 minutes not 80 which is substantial less .

Me I want to see him play every week not every other month.
He will play more 10 next year and your opinion will change.

With the greatest respect to you, KOTH, but Rumn's opinions will never change ... except for the worse.

and long may that continue, Rumn ... :thumleft:
