cannot agree with that at all. The offended team have to be given an opportunity to continue playing.

Simply that you’ve got to sacrifice another player, in addition to the one carded, if you can’t get put a pack together capable of forming a scrum.

We don’t want to see sides simply opting for the pen though. Which is what would happen.skiboo wrote: ↑Mon Mar 22, 2021 1:39 pmI would add to the list of changes an amendment to the advantage laws as some referrees play on and on and on while others call advantage over very quickly.
I would advocate the choice is always with the team with the advantage to take it or not but once they pass the advantage line through play or kick advantage is over.

Comment to wrap the regular season: Compared to Munster, Ulster finished with the same win-loss ration, the same BP's, a higher points difference, a higher number of points scored and a win in the one match between the two sides, albeit that was against a weakened Munster team, yet the conference system meant Munster came 'second' to Leinster, justsaying!

The frustration is that the semi-finals were axed yet we were sat on our holes for weeks recently.
The remaining fixtures were announced after it was clear that the European games weren’t going ahead and there would have been time for the semis, even allowing for the handful of postponed games to be fitted in too.

I don't know if this is really the case but I guess that it is to avoid a team that is getting torn apart in set scrums getting their hooker 'injured' so that they can go to uncontested scrums. It would normally mean going down to 14 but if they are already down to 14, then they go down to 13. Both teams also have to have 8 in the scrum to avoid the team with fewer players simply negating the advantage by having a full back line. Does that sound right?
