Agree Dave, Lowry has amazing speed of thought and execution. That definitely makes him look good at full back at times as he has so much more time to see what’s developing during a play and then he can use his speed to stroll through the gap. But we are not harnessing his full potential there. If we play him at 10 he will add more value to the team because of his all round speed. Add on top of that a back 3 of Baloucoune stockdale and Addison... what’s not to like?!

Has to be Mads at 10 for this game. Lowry can get more time there in the Rainbow Cup.

My sources in SW London indicate that Quins will, however, be fielding a second string team.

Quins have been in decent form recently. Even a mixed 1st team, would be a dangerous game.
That said I’d agree likely if both fit Madigan & Lowry start. The main thing for me though is IH being fit. That front 5 is so much more powerful with him in it, & the guy is playing like a man possessed.

The loss to Gloucester away still irks me, the OConnor bros did a manful job, but no IH (infact no fit 2nd row on bench) cost the game (no carter or more importantly marcel either)...Gloucester wouldn’t have been close enough to Nick the game at the end.

So hopefully no repeat of that.

This is definitely a comp we can win, and may get a psychological monkey off the clubs back.

Dan destroyed a certain journo this week for a monkey on the back question. No prizes for guessing the individual.

I have my own tv channel, what have you got?

In all honesty I think it’s more an issue for retired players, or club people / media - rather than the coaches / pups for example. I just think a straight knock out trophy could really galvanise what’s appears to be an already tight group & accelerate pup development.

The pack will be tested - they need to be mentally in the right place - this could be a banana skin.
Hopefully decent conditions - don’t want this turning into an arm wrestle.
