[tag=image]http://cdn-03.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/sp ... 989_I2.JPG[/tag][tag=content]Ulster Rugby have released an injury update after their 23-13 defeat to the Cardiff Blues at the weekend, however it is good news as both Tommy Bowe and Iain Henderson are expected to be back before the end of the season.

Bowe and Henderson were both ruled out earlier in the season with long term injuries, however Ulster anticipate that both will be back before the end of the season to aid their PRO12 top four push.

Winger Bowe was injured during the World Cup for Ireland when he picked up a posterior cruciate ligament injury but he is making excellent progress and will be further reviewed during the week.

Henderson suffered a significant hamstring tear against Edinburgh in December, however he has progressed well in his rehabilitation and is likely to be involved again before the end of the season.

There were also updates on several other players from the weekend’s action.

Centre Sammy Arnold suffered a low grade tear to his right hamstring in yesterday’s game in Cardiff and will be out for two to three weeks, but there is better news on Luke Marshall who may still make Friday’s game against Zebre pending the result of a fitness test later in the week on an ankle injury.

Nick Williams (shoulder) and Ian Humphreys (hip/back) are also both doubts for Friday’s match, however Rob Herring (hamstring), Paul Marshall and Alan O’Connor (both viral infection) are all available for selection once more.

Utility back Louis Ludik is still a few weeks away from returning to action and is aiming to return for the Glasgow match away on Friday 25th March.

There was bad news for lock Dan Tuohy though who picked up an ankle facture against Edinburgh in December. Although the fracture healed, his rehab has been inconsistent and he will undergo exploratory surgery after which a return date will be determined.

It was also re-confirmed that utility back Peter Nelson will be out for the remainder of the season with a dislocated foot while tighthead prop Wiehahn Herbst will require further assessment on his toe injury to determine his availability for the remainder of the season.

It was also revealed that openside flanker Willie Faloon has been struggling with a chronic midfoot injury and will be visiting a specialist for a review after which a prognosis will be determined.[/tag]
