Dublin Parking
Where is the most suitable parking on the north side of Dublin on the day of the final?
Trains are my usual mode of transport along with copious amounts of firewater that usually make for a good day.
I am driving to West Meath straight after the match for a shortened fishing club weekend and would not know RDS/Dublin roads that well and therefore I am open to suggestions.
Crowds leaving the match etc are bound to influence ease of access but would parking at a northern Dart station be quick/handy to get to?
Dublin airport and use airport bus?
If parking available, park close to RDS?
As I said, any suggestions "within reason" will be appreciated.
As long as my email comes through from ticketmaster today about tickets it will hopefully be "sweet"

Used this one for last years semi at the toilet bowl. Really easy to get to convenient to port tunnel and very handy to Aviva - Q Park at Chimney View, Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2

Re: Dublin Parking
Word of warning.
Most of the side streets in and around Ballsbridge are controlled or residents only parking.
On street parking in Dublin is controlled by a private company. There is very little compassion for any breech of the regulations, your car will be clamped. I think it's a 180 yoyo release charge.
Good options close to the RDS

Re: Dublin Parking
If parking near the RDS there are two places we've used for previous games:
- St Mary's church round the back of the RDS, 5 yoyos
- There is a large car park on the Simmonscourt Road behind the South stand, can't remember the price
Both are very convenient, no more than two minutes of a walk to any entrance. You'd have to get to the church 2-3 hours before the game though as there are limited spaces, but the car park on Simmonscourt has plenty of spaces so you could show up there closer to the match and still get in.

You haven't seen me at my best yet. Let's be honest, you probably never will.

Thanks all for the replies. This has been well covered on other posts. See you all there on Saturday
Re: Dublin Parking
What about somewhere for lunch that does good food, a few swallies and perhaps some Aviva amateur rugby on TV. Any Suggestions?

Crowe's Pub we've been to the last few times. Does good food for a pub. Has a small screen outside and a big screen inside showing sport but I'm not sure if it'll be the AP final showing or not. Just across the way from the RDS, on the Pembroke Road.Indiana wrote:What about somewhere for lunch that does good food, a few swallies and perhaps some Aviva amateur rugby on TV. Any Suggestions?

Re: Dublin Parking
Got this from Pembroke Wanderers
We will be running a car park and the cost will be €10 per car (no buses).
If you arrive before our team is in place please give your vehicle registration number together with the money to the person behind the Bar upstairs in the Clubhouse.
We do not have a pre-booking facility but there should be no problem getting a space provided you are here one hour before the match starts then there should be no problem getting a space.
The Bar will be open should you require a drink before or after the event.
Map and Sat. Nav. Co-ordinates on our web site at www.pembrokewanderers.ie
