Welcome To Rotherham!

Post by Michael Sylvester »

A warm welcome to Clifton Lane for all Ulster fans coming to watch the Ravens on November 29th. Hope we give you a good day, a chance to see how Ali Birch, Adam Macklin & James McKinney are coming on and hope the following information helps any travelling fans.

For anybody wanting to make a weekend of it we have a great deal with our local Holiday Inn 2 people sharing can stay on the Friday evening for £49 inc parking, use of leisure club and full English breakfast. To book telephone 01709 830630 and quote Rotherham Supporters Club Offer.

For anybody in town on the Friday Night we have our Northern Soul night in the main bar and Bath vs Harlequins on the TV in Harry's Bar.

Match day tickets are now on sale via our website and with limited seating we would strongly recommend anybody needing a seat does so in advance.

We have a number of offers available first for families 2 adults and 2 children entry is £40 standing £50 seated (again for seated please book in advance)

If its cold or wet our conservatory offer is very popular £25 gets you a seat indoors if you want to watch the game out of the weather (you can stand outside if you prefer) and includes a pint, pie & peas and a programme.

For disabled customers if you require a carer they come free please let me know if you need a wheelchair space saving either in or outdoors.

All ticket offers can be booked here www.rotherhamrugby.co.uk

On the day our clubhouse is open from noon and we are proud to have been voted 'Best Clubhouse experience' in the Greene King IPA Championship, we offer 4 real ales the local brew being Chantry Ales which we will have at least 2 on and our famous match day pie will be available both in the clubhouse and outside.

Post match at what we call the Third Half which comprises of the Chairman's Choice award where we will ask our Chairman to select the Raven who has given the best game and the senior visiting Ulster official will be asked to select the best performing Titan and together we given a cheer hopefully they will hear in Belgium. We then have a live acoustic music set and from 7pm we have our annual Movember fundraiser to which you are all welcome.

Finally if there is any extra information you need or anything that will help us ensure you have a good day out please let me know by any of the means below.

What's your opinion on how our exports are shaping up Michael? Many here thought Birch was worth a squad spot and Macklin seemed to be highly regarded before a bad run of injuries after which he never really got much of a chance.

My own personal opinions are Ali Birch is outstanding and I've no idea how we've kept him he's the type of player we usually lose to the prem, hard as nails. Macklin is coming on and is part of a front row that is looking to establish itself and has done so last few games. McKinney is out standing has won 2/4 Chairmans Choice awards kicking out of hand and positional play won us the game vs Leeds in the Championship so fairs to say we are happy with our Ulster Boys

As an aside we provide a free room every month for the Rotherham Irish Association to hold a social every month and we'll be asking their chair Mr Maurice White to hand the beers over at the to the men of the match at the Chairman's Choice awards

That does sound like a good trip - except for the breakfast.

.... Though there is a certain amount of irony about being told when the Ravens are playing by the opposition!!!!!
Always ask yourself, "What would Big Rodney do"... And every time the answer is... "Eat It"

Is that what Loki does, go on opposition sites and offer breakfast?

It's been decriminalised in England now.

You're allowed to mention Ravens' games as long as it's for your own use.

Why would any Ulster fans want to go to Rotterham? Don't be expecting too many Michael , but thanks for the invite.

Pay no attention to Kofi Michael, he's only interested in away trips to France.

Was in Manchester at the weekend.
Struggled to find a place showing the game on Sunday
Eventually convinced one pub to turn the chuffing darts over
