That was slack traffic in the evening I will say, some of the other guys might have a better idea how much it is now but it is only about 2.5 or 3 miles
It's less than 2 miles from Islington (Angel tube) to Philomenas so you could walk it in about half an hour or 20-30 minutes by tube as you'd need to change lines.

I've recently moved to London and am looking for somewhere to watch the match on Saturday. I know that Philomema's has been mentioned, but that may be a bit far to convince some of the more fairweather fans amongst us!

The O'Neills in Islington says that it's showing it, but slightly concerned that with the Liverpool match on at the same time, they may not have commentary. Just wondering if any of you gents may know if it's a decent spot or not?

Cheers!
O'Neills in Islington is a fairly big bar and while I haven't been there for a while, they are likely to show the football on a big projection screen and the rugby on one of the smaller TVs.

Philomenas isn't big and they will have the football on as well but you are far more likely to have other Ulster fans at Philomenas as it has been the venue of choice for Ulster games for years now (the framed signed Ulster shirts on the wall are a bit of a clue!) :red: :red: :red:

Get yourself to Philomenas would be my advice.

A big turn out of Ulster fans at Philomena's and they had the game on the big screen. A couple of Liverpool fans didn't understand why their game was relegated to one of the smaller screens but when they saw the number of people in Ulster jerseys turning up and the Ulster flags around the bar, I think the penny dropped...

Hi all

I'm looking for a pub where Ulster fans might be watching the Sarries Heineken QF game. Is Philomenas a regular for Ulster fans?

Cheers :red:

There is also O'Neills off of Regent Street where Irish rugby fans drink

Philomena's is the best though with great Guinness

And the Coleraine accented man behind the bar who doesn't mind pouring you 12 guinness at closing time so long as the 3 of you down it and leave

Ahh come on! I thought you'd all be heading up for a day out at Allianz Park.
Can I come out from behind the sofa yet?

Thought WE were the dedicated supporters, and THEY wouldn't travel the length of themselves.

I doubt Allianz Park are showing the game.
