It was busy on Saturday.

Not sure why they can't have a batch of stout on the go to save time at the bar. I'd have had time for another 2 pints.

Fair play to the lass who took our order waitress style though. Very prompt service.

Whatever you do, don't go in the Lowlander opposite unless you enjoy paying 7 or 8 quid for a pint (albeit a pretty good one).

And then being charged 12.5% tip on top .....

The girls who do table service when they see you running low are legends!

Yep, the table service girls are great. The bar itself is usually packed during a game, people don't want to stop watching the game to go up to the bar so I'm sure they sell more beer with table service.

Afternoon all, I hope this finds you sobering up from the weekend.

This may sound like a stupid question and feel free to answer with a stupid answer but, are there many heading to Philomena's on Friday for the Cardiff match? I am thinking of making my first appearance.

My son and nephew may well be there. They have rung to say where is it the place that some Ulsterrr folk gather so I'm putting link to the place on their Facebook pages but they are already drinking in a bar in London somewhere so cant guarantee their arrival :)

What soccer? Usually when football is on they still keep most of the backbar for rugby

England and Spain, plus Leinster are playing so a couple of screens for them. I am in the corner by the disabled toilet

I only discovered that during the France game.

Used to be a nightmare to pash. Now simple

Enjoy

I'll do my best! Loving the table service, extremely rare in pubs in Central London
