Duh! I'm confused now. When I click on Ulster on the home page I get an old style table with all the details of scores etc. in it - but it still includes the free weeks. Was cables not proposing an old style table without the free week points?

I do like it though.

As I said before I'm pretty ambivalent about the free week thing, it wasn't necessarily a bad idea (just a tad unnecessary if you have mastered basic maths). However since the Welsh mucked up the fixture list it no longer serves any purpose.

Searching for a view Paul rather than proposing exactly.

Kimble will be pleased that you like it if he stops for long enough to read your post!

Perhaps best to leave it as it is now Cables as a further variation of the tables that don't always get it right might even confuse it even more :?

The new way isn't a bad idea but it only really worked as it was designed to with the pre-Powergen Cup fixture list. The welsh teams playing games out of sequence really makes the whole change of methods pointless.
I was under the impression the new table system was introduced as a reaction to the West English disloyalty.

Before we had a predictable format to the season with (with I think only one exception) no team ever more than 1 match played behind the rest. The treachery of the principality has made a dog's breakfast of the season and the 'points-for-sitting-on-your-Brennan' system mitigates this slightly.
