Heard the winner only got £300, poor take up for such a big crowd.

300 odd sold that means, think the sellers where just as you come in the gate, it was lashing with rain when we came in, straight dash to the beer tent rather than stop to buy raffle tickets, would rather spend my money in the bar anyway, ulster are still getting my money that way, and i can support them better :D
Why? Why not?

I probably would've bought a ticket, but I didn't see anyone selling them. UR could've done with making the sellers a bit more obvious.

I didn't buy one because like a eejit I rushed out of the house with only shrapnel in my pockets and

1. I threw a lot of it into the charity buckets at the gates
2. I had no money (kept £1.60 or a cup of tea and toffee crisp mind you)
3. I tend to cross the road when I see people looking money.

Was very surprised to hear that it was only at the £380 mark. 50 / 50 ... only around £760 lifted.

Looks like they started selling the tickets at number 5000 Goody, lull you into a sense of being able to win £2500 more than you actually could!

Honestly though, this isnt a bad idea. But why dont they charge £1 more per ticket, and tell you that £1 of every ticket goes into a 50/50 draw. Then all they need to do is rip the stubs off on the way in and throw the stubs into the draw.

If the gate is 8,000-10-000 UR gets 4-5k each week and they could draw out 5 tickets per week and each punter gets c.£1k. Get them photographed each week and create a bit of buzz about it.

They could have folks inside selling additional tickets too.

Come on UR get the fingers out and do the job properly.

Only problem I can see is, what if the same person keeps getting lucky?

Good idea Colzo. I could call it the 50/25/25 draw. ColinM gets the 50 of course

Not actually true as it is a franchise.

Re the raffle can't say I even noticed - non existant advertising as far as I am concerned.
