Thats a point, can't see it happening since we have the likes of Dewie, Steiney and Bart!Red Hand Hero wrote:Jaysus he'd be worth whatever sort of price he was demanding-he's still relatively young, 28ish? He's undoubtedly the best fullback in the game at the moment and if he's on the market Ulster should definitely have a crack at him. Debatable whether the IRUPA would sanction it as that would mean we'd have 5 non-irish qualified players in our backline though...

The important bits from that article..............
Meanwhile, there is speculation Latham has already signed to play with Ulster, which includes former Australia second-rower Justin Harrison.
Latham has made it known he was looking at playing overseas next year, although the ARU said he would be required by the Wallabies until the end of the Tri-Nations series.

Another 'report':

Maybe Chris is just trying to get the best deal possible from the home Union, always helps if you have another couple of 'offers' on the table in your employer negotiations!?
(Mind you, it is interesting to see in the photograph that he has already learned the 'Ulsterspeak' for 'what about-ye'...)

"Cheer up" he said "It could get worse", so I cheered up, and it got worse...
