To get on the list you had to have 30 kicks at goal. The likes of Quiff would have had a high % but didn't play enough. Missed out by 1 - 29 kicks with a success rate of 82.8%.

Only started 7 games in the 22 rounds with 5 sub appearances.

He is certainly versatile in the haircut department.

Edinburgh's new Aussie winger is pretty rapid. 10.69 seconds for the 100m.

Andy Maxwell was speedy for Ulster but his cornering capabilities were similar to a supertanker

1 Gareth Ancsombe Cardiff Blues 26 32 81.25
2 Steve Shingler Scarlets 29 37 78.38
3 Paddy Jackson Ulster Rugby 49 63 77.78
4 Jason Tovey Newport Gwent Dragons/Edinburgh Rugby 39 51 76.47
5 Craig Ronaldson Connacht Rugby 35 46 76.09

Fine margins for wee PJ. If he'd got 1 of his missed kicks, he'd be 2nd, 3 kicks and he'd be 1st.

If you examined the second half of the season, Paddy would be better than 80%

Also those stats do not factor in the range/length of the kick. If a cautious kicker attempts only the easy and short range shots he will produce good stats. An example is retired Scottish FB Chris Paterson - had a fantastic kicking record with Gloucester, but had a short range and never attempted anything far out. No wonder he did well.
Stats be buuggered!
