If they looked rusty against us, could it be because they don't play together as often as they should? I know that players must not be over-worked and that injury is a reql risk, but if a player isn't playing very often, does the edge go? And, if a team isn't playing together regularly, does their coherence and instinctive understanding of each other go?
Good points, Solid. Leinster have such a big squad that they can't possibly keep everyone happy. Players will want to play. No matter how successfull a team are, most players will want to play more 4/5 games per season.
They had a prop covering back row last night. Even Leinster have a player limit!
Scott Penny was supposed to be on the bench but Josh Murphy became ill during the warm-up so Penny started the game at openside with Deegan moving to the blindside.

Was a little surprised they went with Ed Byrne though as they had Devin Toner warming up with the squad pre-match. Could have brought him on and moved Fardy to the back-row but they probably didn't want to take a chance with Toner's fitness after his two-month injury.

Toulouse haven't turned up yet. Woeful kicking is killing them too.

Leinster looking dangerous when they are flowing but possibly should be further ahead. If the real Toulouse come out in the second half they might still make a game of it.

Peter Schmeichel would have been happy with Henshaw's pawing the ball away to prevent a try.

Sorries and the bluenoses are the two best teams in the competition by some way. I genuinely couldn't pick a winner.
