Oh for Christs sake.

Let sleeping dogs lie, is anyone else going to the game really so petty? If ye want to hear whatever anthem, bring your iPod and you can listen to whatever you like. When I go to a rugby match the last thing I'm worried about are the anthems.

The only reason I'd worry about them is if I thought they were going to play an anthem which could be perceived as alienating to a very large percentage of the people in NI rugby that Ulster and Irish Rugby is representing.

It's all been said so many times before hasn't it? The same old pointless arguments, repeated ad infinitum. You have to laugh in a sense.

I'm excited about tonight regardless.

National Anthem's are not normally played at 'A' Internationals.
They are being played here as it is a Tonga international.

Thedecision made seems me like an eminently sensible decision.

Usual crap that crops up from time to time by somebody not happy unless they are trying to cause division or other trouble.

Anthems: What a load of old shíte.They can play (Imaginary) God save my árse or Amhrán na thóin for all I care.I'm only interested in the rugby.

a bit harsh there ... on balloons !!

On the Fatty Nolan show this morning , His Lordship outlined his credentials as a Ulster/ Ireland rugby supporter by admitting it was three years since he had attended a match !!

I am Not a great fan of "Laird" Laird and his wasteful Ulster Scots obsession*, and his other self promotional antics, HOWEVER, there are issues of parity of esteem to be addressed in respect of anthems at Ravenhill.

It recognises the partition of Ireland....parity of esteem, what does that mean?

Great idea to face the new stand, not quite sure it was solely directed at 2Bc though

Have never joined in the anthem debate before, but has anybody else had a good look at the picture of dear old Lord Laird in the article???????? He is like something out of an episode of Little Britain. If we ever persuade BBC NI to commission "Little Norn Iron", I would bet Messrs Walliams & Lucas would feature Lord Laird & his daft made up dialect.

No harm to them but the Tongan anthem is a dreary affair. Worse than gstq :P
