Here here. Their lineout was so gash he should have been putting it in touch in their half. At least BOD realised this when he kicked

agree with Rooster and Colin, kicking was shockingly poorly directed and lacking in distance.

Given our domination at set piece, we should have racked up 40 points plus. I know it's only 2 for a win and no BPs but the championship could come down to points diff if we don't do the grand slam and yesterday was an opportunity missed.

Exacly my thoughts Freddie, we could be heading for the Scottish match requiring a 40 point win or something daft like that or hoping the Italians beat the French.

The French don't look like a high scoring side England could put points on the board against Italy but that's about it .Everyone will find the Scots hard to beat and Scotland will find it hard to put points on the board against everyone.

Despite the derogatory remarks some have made against the Welsh they are the team who score trys against anyone

Thus Irelands failure to exploit their advantage on saturday will have in my view little effect on the championship.

Theres more positives then negatives. The scrums and linoeouts went well and they never looked like conceding a try (although they did) so it was a good workout.

The main positive is they're now firm underdogs against France and not expected to win. I bet Kidney is delighted with that.

The negatives are the injuries and the sloppy play but I think that'll be put right by next week.

I think everyone also forgets that Ireland were pretty turgid for most of last years 6N as well, doing just enough in each game, I'd settle for that over a 50 point win against Italy and losing to France

exactly colin - when was the last time Ireland put in an 80 min performance and smoked someone? It doesn't happen too often but Ireland have this amazing ability to step up the intensity when required - particuarly at home. Whether we can do that away from home is another question. Realistically, we haven't beaten anyone of note for quite some time - although Wales away, was a good win last year.
