Good logic White Knight, but I guess I was right all along!
Great news. Lets just hope that he is fully recovered, lasts 60 at least v France and then goes on to have a great tournament.

Great news about Ferris though.Seriously increases our chances of pulling off a victory.

grrr
saw that one coming, wouldnt be surprised if he's a late omission
named even though it was known he wouldnt make it...
hope not the case, perhaps he sat out training to ensure he does make it for 2mo?

Declan Kidney has allayed fears over the fitness of Stephen Ferris for tomorrow’s RBS 6 Nations clash with France after the Ireland flanker missed this morning’s captain’s run.
Ferris was a spectator as his team-mates completed their scheduled training session at the Stade de France.
The 24-year-old Ulster back row was only passed fit yesterday after missing the championship opener against Italy with a knee injury.
But Kidney insisted there is no element of risk in his selection for a match that could ultimately decide the destination of the title.
“We’re not treating Stephen with kid gloves,” said Ireland’s head coach.
“It was prudent for him to sit training out as there’s a balance to strike when a player comes back in.
“Stephen is fine, he’s been charging around in training but we wanted to hold him back a bit.
“Kevin McLaughlin did a good job for us against Italy as his replacement but Stephen, despite being the younger player, has that little bit more big match experience.
“This back row has played together a bit – Stephen, David Wallace and Jamie Heaslip have an understanding of each other’s game.
“They compliment each other. Like the other lads, Stephen can carry, makes tackles and can operate in the line-out.
“France have so much experience in the back row and on the bench.
“We need every bit of experience we have out on the pitch so that we can stay with them for the whole 80 minutes.”

I'd be surprised if he does and would not open a book on this.againstthehead wrote:what are the odds for ferris completing the game???
I'd say Kidney may well know it is unlikely he'll get the whole game out of Ferris and he has 2 back row replacements on the bench, both of whom are decent players if not quite in the same league as Ferris.
What we need from Ferris is to help in stopping the French from building an early lead.If we are still in touch at 60 minutes Ferris will likely have done his job although obviously I want him to go the distance.

DK doesn't lie but like all good managers in every facet of human endeavour he doesn't reveal the full truth either.Stade au Courant wrote:Do you think DK is lying?
