They always make the point that French do well in the 6 nations after a lions tour as they are not as burnt out.
Of the team I picked only Sexton had much game time on that tour so that may well not be coincidence
That might well be the reason the likes of Lawes, Brown and Launchbury have been the star turns and would be inconceivable to leave them out of a lions team now.
Couldn't bate eggs, sorry Eggs, no offence intended.
I know but its only whats available.
Who exactly has played better in which position in this tournament?
North, Denton or who?
Cant think of many stand outs outside of England or Ireland to be fair.

May is there by default really as no one else has done much better.
Did not see any performances to improve upon that of Healy, Best, Huget, Mas, Robshaw or Twelvetrees so that leaves 13,11,8,6 as the only debatable areas that I can see.

Best 6N tournament in a long time, really enjoyed that one, even if Ireland didnt win

I agree and with the balance of the series hanging on the interception try of an Italian and a forward pass in Paris it was the fine margins that decided matters once again.
The thing I wanted to see in the tournament aside from an Irish victory was matches to be played with the same intensity witnessed in the HEC.
Got that from the France v England and Ireland and the England v Ireland matches which were brutally brilliant.
It is still a mystery how sides, particularly the French cannot go away and produce similar performances.
England were unlucky but as an English mate told me, if you need to go to Paris to win the championship and you do just that - you deserve it.
He got little argument from me. >happyparty

Wouldn't surprise me ya West Brit.

Most of the civilised world are thinking, "great England didn't win it" whereas I have this awful feeling you reckon that they really deserved to win it.

JIzzer, you still think that holds water? Have to say there are some there by right but a fair few are a load of old Hank's dripping dick.

I'm amused by the English wingers, both are in danger of vanishing up the shucks of their own gary glitter, neither can hold a candle to Angry Andy.

Lawes & Launchpad are both better than POC - FFS man get a grip of yourself.

Mas? France's scrum has been raped, how in feck's name do you get Mas in there?

36? FFS no further comment, a feckin' journeyman.

OK I'm through with this guy. :D

Heard a staggering stat on 5 Live about North.

43 test caps (incl 3 lions tests) and he's still only 21!

Could well be a contender for BODs record if he stays fit.

No. I think we deserved to win it because we managed to win in Paris whereas England couldn't. But overall, and I said it after our game on Twickers, Ireland and England were the best teams in the 6N. If we had fallen short today I would have been glad England would have won. A victory for good and honest rugby coupled with a wonderful work ethic and with good coaches in both cases.

Not to take anything away from a stunning victory, but, if your man had kicked that penalty at the end, we would have been third.
