Ireland v. Italy
Sexton out. Paddy's big chance to impress (assuming Schmidt selects him). G'wann Paddy!! (Hope to see Hendo and Marshall get a run too.)

Re: Ireland v. Italy
After Sunday's display I would be astonished to see Luke anywhere near it. As poor a display of passing as I have seen from him in ages. It's always been a concern of mine about our Luke but it's been a good while since I've seen him that bad, thought that was a thing of the past.Spiffsson wrote:Sexton out. As for Sexton, his French experience has not done him much good to date. I suspect it may provide a salutary lesson to any Paddies thinking of moving for a bundle of cash.
NEVER MOVE ON. Years on, I cannot ever watch Ireland with anything but indifference, I continue to wish for the imminent death of Donal Spring, the FIRFUC's executioner of Wee Paddy & Wee Stu, and I hate the FIRFUCs with undiminished passion.

I hear Murray has been practising his place kicking.Spiffsson wrote:Sexton out. Paddy's big chance to impress (assuming Schmidt selects him). G'wann Paddy!! (Hope to see Hendo and Marshall get a run too.)
It is a man's own mind, not his enemy or foe, that lures him to evil ways.
Re: Ireland v. Italy
The Irish management is now saying that Sexton may not be out after all.
Re, Marshall - agree, Baggy, that he had a bit of a stinker against Treviso. But I get the impression that Schmidt is influenced with what he sees at training camp, so if Luke is showing up well, he might get a run.

I think the problem is that Luke has been in Ireland camp too long .... he's been practising passing to BOD, but when he comes back to Ulster he has to pass to Darren who is obviously much faster than BOD and hence the passes go behind him.BaggyTrousers wrote:After Sunday's display I would be astonished to see Luke anywhere near it. I think the Sexton to France debacle has enlightened a few minds, both players and blazers.BaggyTrousers wrote: As for Sexton, his French experience has not done him much good to date. I suspect it may provide a salutary lesson to any Paddies thinking of moving for a bundle of cash.

As they say far away fields are green but they sure as hell are not as green as the Irish ones.Snipe Watson wrote:I think the Sexton to France debacle has enlightened a few minds, both players and blazers.BaggyTrousers wrote: As for Sexton, his French experience has not done him much good to date. Paddy at 10 with Madigan covering 10 and 12 from the bench. Don't think Cave or Marshall will get a look in - especially after last Sunday.

I like Luke a lot but I think he has been off the boil for a while and his injuries have definately not helped.Spiffsson wrote:The Irish management is now saying that Sexton may not be out after all.

I think he needs to just get back to playing regularly at Ulster and get his game sorted and up to speed again as I am sure it will.
To me he looks like he is almost over trying at times forcing things instead of playing his natural game.
