Will be interesting to see what players are brought along

Would like to see Marmiom get gametime as outside of Murray we have no good options at 9

Sexton will be rested so game time will be between Madigan and Jackson

Would also like to see Herring get capped
Chris Henry is superhuman... I think he's half cyborg

Good thread to start Russ - Tests to be played 7th and 14th June

http://www.irishtimes.com/sport/rugby/p ... -1.1756118

Herr Schmidts first invasion party will be announced on May 19th. That’s the Monday after the Pro 12 semi-finals. The Ireland squad depart on June 1st, less than 24 hours after the Pro 12 final. There will be a few guys standing around with bags packed on standby pending Pro 12 final injuries, with potentially an all provincial final?

Players that definitely will not be touring
O'Mahoney out until October
O'Brien? Cannot see value of bringing him having played very little rugby this season
Besty?
McFanny

Players I'd like to see get game time
Marmion

It might be an unpopular suggestion but I think Schmidt needs to select the strongest possible XV that he has available for at least one of these games, although I'd also be inclined to plump for a much more inexperience bench. Ireland do not have long to decide who will be replacing BO'D and I think it's imperative to see the potential heirs playing in a strong team. Otherwise, I'm not sure how useful the exercise would be - little chance to impress individually and no opportunity to see how combinations. That, I think, would constitute a waste of 2 of the 5 games Ireland have to work it out. A couple of players, like Payne, I think, should also get their opportunities. Assuming Best isn't available, I'd go for:

First Test # Second Test

R. Kearney 15 J. Payne
A. Trimble 14 T. Bowe
D. Cave 13 R. Henshaw
G. D'Arcy 12 G. D'Arcy
D. Kearney 11 A. Trimble
J. Sexton 10 J. Sexton
C. Murray 9 C. Murray

C. Healy 1 C. Healy
R. Strauss 2. R. Strauss
M. Moore 3. M. Ross
D. Tuohy 4 D. Toner
P. O'Connell 5 D. Ryan
S. O'Brien 6 S. O'Brien
C. Henry 7 C. Henry
J. Heaslip 8 J. Heaslip

S. Cronin 16 S. Cronin
J. McGrath 17 J. McGrath
M. Ross 18 M. Moore
D. Ryan 19 P. O'Connell
J. Murphy 20 T. O'Donnell
K. Marmion 21 K. Marmion
P. Jackson 22 P. Jackson
R. Henshaw 23 D. Cave

Does anyone have a definite? I think lots of dates have been bandied about without any fact.

Windy made his Ulster debut on the 16th of September 2011 against the Blues - FACT
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/rugby-union/14902370

He was signed on 31st March 2011 - FACT
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/rugby-union/12929409

Therefore before 16th September me thinks meaning he will be available for Autumn Internationals.... on this basis he may be on the plane to Argentina on a non playing capacity and integrated into things.... to get up to speed so to speak.

Naaaw wee maddy maddy mads... based on Keatleys performance yesterday against Toulon I'd have him on the plane as back up to PJ. Believe Sexton will be rested.

But but but wee maddy mads is marketable!

He is the future of 10s taking it into contact. Madigan will take over from Higgins as the next Pope
