Madigan's Quiff demonstrated yet again on Saturday that being versatile is not all it's cracked up to be if you don't have the skills to cover the job/s you are supposedly covered.

I'm increasingly wondering, is it just that MexicanJoe is a poor selector or might he be a dumbassed dipshit. There are glaringly obvious faults that he seems content to live with. It's probably not coincidence that many of them involve his beloved D4 mates.

I reckon we will see a humiliation at Twickenham, especially if the main props are not fit. Only then perhaps may we see a transformation from his regulars to a few changed options, they look like a team in need of a transfusion of new blood and absolutely new tactics.

Ireland flanker Sean O'Brien has been ruled out of the Six Nations clash with England on 27 February because of a hamstring injury.

Irish coach Joe Schmidt revealed O'Brien sustained a grade two hamstring tear in the weekend defeat by France.

Wing Dave Kearney is "very likely" to miss the game with a shoulder injury.

Mike McCarthy and Jared Payne are doubts but fly-half Johnny Sexton is set to be available after suffering a "whip-lash" injury in Paris.

There you are. Janny's right as rain :thumleft: Touch of "whiplash" but sure if he contacts a Belfast solicitor, he may get a bit of compo for that.

So much for the anti-thuggery promises, though I have to say, I thought Janny dived like a wendyballist. :duck:

It'll be:

Murray, Madigan, McFadden, Henshaw, Earls, Trimble, Kearney v England

The English will be quaking in their boots at the thought of coming up against this lot.

It might give Joe the chance to blood a few Ulstermen then when the whipping comes he can blame them and that will ensure they won't make any RWC… ps suits me fine I couldn't give a toss about Ireland.

Rory always gets the wrong end of the stick ,
A bad consolidation prize before the bye bye big boy

Gartland did it to him on The Lions tour and to be honest as an International Rory is in the Twilight and maybe at Ulster as well .

He's been there and got enough Tee Shirts to clothe the all refugees in Calais and has a farm awaiting his full attention .

Re England v Italy

Until they gave away the try at 55 minutes Italy were in the match with a chance .

That score and an inferior bench gave the English the confidence to play .

Before that try England looked very ordinary

Basically Ireland could face a similar problem which is matching the English forward subs
Ireland's
Back line subs are break glass rather than tactical or fresh leg and lungs options but since Ireland's back subs are not positional specialist than scrum half they seldom offer a positive improvement and may therefore be considered to disrupt the concentration and understandings in the back line .

Wont matter whos in the backline as the forwards will get smashed. Jones unlike the french clown will not start with his weakest scrummaging unit. Vunipola going forward off a dominant scrum is not an exciting prospect for whoever starts at 10 >skull

I find myself now at the point where I just can't be bothered discussing the Irish situation, Joe's selections, his tactics etc. and feel worn down and terminally bored by the whole ballix.
He will make a few forced changes because of injuries, all of them safety first, and come up with the same again package more or less. Predictable, sad and diasppointing.
I will still watch the games but have no expectations.
Any man who keeps picking the Kearney bros and McFadden should not be the coach of our national team.

I read today that the entire squad are alleged to buy into MexicanJoe's tactics and can barely wait for the next opportunity to chase poor kicks.
