Who would do the "Madigan emergency 9" role in such a scenario? England have only gone with 2 SHs with George Ford apparently doing a Madigan.

Not sure Neill.

Maybe they'll pick 2 10s but replace Carbery at the last minute if he's not right?

Shame for Cooney - prove them wrong by having a blinding season son.

What stage is the SA squad at? Any chance of getting Coetzee back?

Squad to be named on 26 August.

Sounds like Warren Whiteley won't be fit.

Don't want Haley back at Munster but also don't want him with Ireland.

He'll probably select all three scrum halves and all three 10's. Joey would be covering other backline positions.

Cooney has taken it quite hard by the looks of his Instagram.

Gutted for him. As much as it's our gain and no matter what you're View on Ireland is I like to see our boys do well and he deserves it.

If Jack McGrath doesn't travel that's even better news for Ulster.

They'll be a few more injuries I suspect though.

Little wonder that Cooney moved up North. His undoubted talent was never fully appreciated down South. Marmion and McGrath ahead of Cooney??????? They must be joking!!!!. He has more rugby talent that the both of them put together. Interesting to see if the injury prone Murray gets hurt again what happens then. The way the Irish management is going we are looking at only Best, Stockdale and Henderson going with Henderson probably on the bench with Toner who contributes very little apart from in the line up starting.
