Japan RWC

Post by Setanta »

Serious question - as Japan has serious cultural problems regarding Tattoos; what are the implications for the RWC. The south-sea islanders have tattoos as part of their culture as do the Maoris, to which you can add certain English, Aussie and Kiwi players. There's even the odd Irish player.
From the rolling glens of Antrim through the hills of Donegal we will stand and shout for Ulster as we win both scrum and maul from the lovely lakes of Fermanagh tae the shores of ould Lough Gall we will scream and shout for Ulster as we beat them one and all!

Yes, typo, hit a full-stop instead of a question mark.

They ran this story about Beckham before the Wendyball WC about 10 years ago. Shouldn't be an issue.

World rugby have asked players to cover them up. Players have said that's fine.

Apparently very long sleeves will also cover the leg tatoos.

I read that somewhere.

It's amazing what you can read on the interweb.

Anyway I thought it was practically respectable to be a gangster in Japan. They like everyone else there conform to strict codes of conduct and only break the law within parameters agreed with the police.

SoB on current form may not have been picked and if picked would more than likely been a bench option.
