Good column by Stevie Ferris here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/51373918
Well written. All his own work?
Maybe he's just got a better ghostwriter than whoever did his autobiography.

Apparently not. Small print at the bottom of the page states "Stephen Ferris was speaking to BBC Sport's Michael Morrow".

Cooney appeared to operate at a different pace to Murray. Central contracts are great and anyhow winning the Championship will set the foundation of another great World Cup campaign next time..

Well at least it was an easier watch this week. Wales not great but always satisfying to beat them.

Healy is not the best loosehead in Ireland any more. However Kilcoyne brings more off the bench than Healy would so likely to remain on the bench.

Locks still below the required performance standard. Both must improve for harder matches ahead.

Back row doing the business pretty well. However England will be a step up.

Still an issue in the centre. Earls showed the benefit of having a guy with great passing hands there and while he was probably the most impressive centre for Ireland out of the two games he is not a centre. That says it all.

Back three doing well. The only issue I have is that Stockdale needs to stop kicking the ball away. He's better than that.

Scotland v England was a shocking game played in woefully Scottish weather. Scottish weather is like the Scots themselves ....fairly miserable. They deserved nothing out of the game. England poor enough themselves but at least they played it a little smarter.

2 home wins as you would expect. 2 away defeats on the cards.

Dreadful conditions in Murrayfield and two teams playing pretty limited rugby. England were simply better in every department. The Scots had no real punch; the English had just one punch. I'd be hopeful that Ireland might do something in a few weeks time. Their improvement from last week was clear, it just might continue.

I actually though the locks didn’t have a bad game since it is obvious that they are playing to orders not to contest the breakdown to minimize penalties .

Ireland played well for the first 10 to 15 minutes and then normal non service to the wings resumed .

Basically Ireland won due to fact they denied the Welsh possession and restricted the number of times they got inside the Irish 22 .whereas the Irish forwards where in the Welsh 22 for sufficient time to score 4 times at least two of which were down to poor defending .

Playing the English in their own back yard will be completely different . A New Zealander once told Rugby league players make bad head coaches in Rugby Union because Union success is based on the exploitation of space on quick recycle after 1st phase — phase play is absent in league .

He might have a point
