'It's the Pro14's fault'

Post by fermain »

Got this from Baggy t'other day. Thought it was a good read. Reminds me of a data analytics piece on Liverpool FC I read a while ago...
Excellent article with some interesting theories, the Bayern Munich Mirage for one, it does appear to fit Leinster to a T.

Glad to hear Baggy hasn't joined the underground. Give him our best.

Interesting article, and I imagine given he has done the research I imagine he would be well equiped to answer specific examples. I wonder how it applies to our academy though, we haven't been able to bring through local players that well for years whether through the stable years with Ruan, Muller and co or at other times. I just don't think we have had a great combination of coaching, identifying talent, and developing talent in the academy. Also for us we have brought through loads of backs but much less forwards, not sure how he would explain that!
