12? Fatty Westwood might weigh as much as Bastareaud but I think the similarity might end there.

Rory needed to do two things and he's done one of them. He needed to get advice from a new coach and Pete Cowen is the best out there. So that's good.
He also needs a caddy who isn't his best mate. Harry doesn't seem to have the minerals to give Rory a metaphorical slap round the head or take a club out of his hand when he needs it.
That's my expert 13 handicap analysis anyway

Ah well, maybe another time, Rory.
Anyone know if there's any substance to Ian Paisley's claim?

Probably some truth to it. The open is on rotation so it was due back at some stage so if he's right he can claim some credit and if not who will remember??

It's a possibility. Only sold out Open in recent years, COVID has impacted on finances and 2025 venue has not been assigned - St Andrews 2022, Hoylake (Royal Liverpool) 2023 & Royal Troon 2024.

It was rumoured for 2024. So with everything shunted back a year, it's possible.
What is known is the success of 2019 as an event and of how popular the course was. Some other venues are looking a bit tired including St George's.

Most of the games have had nothing in them.

The Irish lass has been great.

Indeed.

If I lose my Sky signal every time it rains heavily here I’m going to get really annoyed.

Sounds like I missed a late rally by Europe.
