To be fair, that's a tad harsh on Gatland.
Volunteer at an animal sanctuary; it will fill you with joy , despair, but most of all love, unconditional love of the animals.

a friend was there and witnessed it first hand, he was working in the bar (hes a bit of a bohemian and has been travelling round Europe working in bars for a year or two). his words were that brennan was "unhinged" and has "one of those streaks when the drinks in". he has now quit working there

I like to think Dean (the bar manager back in the day) haw moved on to better things. If not I hope he wasn't involved.

BT….I see where you are coming from as there will always be individuals that feel safe to shout things from the safety of a crowd but surely no different to fans calling Italian visitors to Ravenhill 'Pizza Boys' or French visitors 'Frog Warren Gatland.' I was there when Mad Trev went over the top and for me it was the subsequent accusation that Ulster fans subjected him to sectarian taunts that stuck in my throat. I certainly had no recollection of and such taunts and yet that day we were all labeled as such even if it was subsequently withdrawn.

Probably one of the few acts of violence on the pitch that should be condoned - couldn't have happened to a nicer guy!!
 yeah big brave Australians two hold him while one punches him. Trevor is a scumbeg but your talking out of your bumhole.

Not a popular view I'm sure but hey frankly if you have a problem with it, tough keek.
Bamford may have been a gobby prat or he may not have been the one shouting at Brennan. I don't know, I wasn't there, but nothing excuses Brennan's behaviour. As a professional, he should not have reacted to taunts coming from the crowd.

This is a daft thread.

I don't think anyone is saying that! Remember, Bamford was found not to have abused Brennan.

I know a few of the people who we're sitting round Bamford and every one of them has said was there was no abuse. It got as far as "your bar is crap" and if you construe that as abuse you shouldn't leave the house in the morning. So, quite frankly, to describe someone who was assaulted quite viciously as a ># while hiding behind anonymity on a forum is pretty pi$h weak.

I'm totally convinced that nothing came out of Bamford's mouth (other than a fair bit of claret) that could not have just as easily been said by any one of a number of regular posters here (even the ones who would not be classed as ># s believing they are safe in the ether) . Frankly it could have been any one of us that day

And lest we forget, on the 21st of this month, it will be 7 years since the day of infamy.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember.
