Rory Stewart's excellent documentary on Afghanistan.

Watching Stephen Watson-Live on the Beeb. Very impessed that he manages to smile so broadly every time. Particularly impessed by his background flowers, balls and wee gnome in a Norn Iron football shirt.

The Longest Day (1962) started on More4 at 5.30pm. Lest We Forget. Don’t think I have ever watched it from start to finish before so it’s history in the making. Runs until 9pm. Then it’s Aliens (1986) on ITV4. Should get a whole weeks ironing done tonight. And Happy New Year to anyone who reads this. Slainte

Good watching choice, Mike. I'm catching up on Folye's War. Never watched it before and it's got a bit more depth than the ususal police drama. Anything to make the ironing easier.HwoodMike2umate wrote: ↑Thu Dec 30, 2021 7:22 pm The Longest Day (1962) started on More4 at 5.30pm. Lest We Forget. On the strength of this week’s Apprentice, Conor Gilsenan was never the biggest voice in the dressing room.

Just watched the first couple of episodes of Gomorrah. Italian with subtitles (how swanky is that?) and gritty without being gross.

Whitechapel is not bad, so long as you can accept the daftness of the premise that there at least four series of murders that imitate grisly historical seril killers.

Watched a good show on Netflix - Midnight Mass. A tad slow at times but an interesting new take on the auld vampire genre.

The Staircase on Netflix a fine example of how sudo science , prejudice , and a wrapped adversarial law enforcement can lose sight of the fact they don't have to win but seek truth and justice and in failing to do so must thereafter defend the indefensible .

Signed up for MLR in the USA a few months ago. Got this message at the weekend:
YOUR MLR VIEWING YEAR IN NUMBERS
Congratulations! This year you watched 43 minutes of first class, free rugby content!
WHERE DO YOU RANK?
You are a “Rugby Flirt”
With less than 158 minutes watched, maybe rugby isn’t yet a religion for you? Keep watching – it won’t be long until you are fully converted!

Bread Boy at the Lyric.
Truly dreadful. Imagine the worst school play you've ever seen. That would have been much better.
No plot no direction and a load of posh kids pretending they're from the Shankill and failing miserably.
That's 2 hrs and £24 I'm not getting back.
Sorry if any of yer weans or grandweans were involved but the truth never hurts the teller

Re: What are you watching?
Watching an old episode of Blue Bloods. Pretty poor but SWMBO likes it and I had to let you all know because it's been more than 24 hrs since anyone's made a post on UAFC. Been a long time since we had an empty day.
