As a history buff (WI & II) I've walked through many CWG cemeteries.
They are places of great learning as to how history got it wrong.
Many on this island would seem to have learned little. We are such
a small inward looking people wrapped up in our own self importance.
Agree with all that, Mac. Some people from here would do well to spend a few days in Belgium and Northern France ad learn a bit of history.
Did that as a youngster. Very humbling place, puts a lot of things into perspective about how lucky we are and about how much of a waste of life conflicts are
When I was at QUB there was a motion to close the SU as a mark of respect to a certain soon to be dead hunger striker.
Said motion was also voted down.
