Miliband major lacked the cojones to sieze the labour leadership when Brown was in the doldrums 18 months before the election. If he had, Labour probably would have won in 2010.

After that, he was a busted flush, a bit like Heseltine for the Torys, who also bottled a leadership challenge.

Amusingly amongst all the revelry of Cameron allegedly pulling a fast one on Millibland, nobody appears to realise that Camoron actually fluffed his lines.

He said "He's right, straight answers deserve straight questions. The answer is yes" Dickhead.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politic ... iband.html

However look at what Conservativehome.com say he says “You are right, straight answers are deserved by straight questions. “The answer is yes.” - this is fiction.

The Daily Fascist reports accurately: But Mr Cameron hit back: 'Straight answers deserve straight questions and the answer's yes.'

Thee Scotsman reported the fictional quotation: The premier added: “You are right, straight answers are deserved by straight questions. The answer is yes.”

The Telegraph unsurprisingly used the words that were unspoken also, as I believe did that serious political journal The Sun.

Then again, you maybe don't understand that Churchill's famous "we shall fight them on the beaches" speech that you may think you have watched on old newsreel was actually recorded a full seven years after the speech was made. No wonder he sounded so bloody confident, the war had been over for feckin' years.

You may as well do that now. Camoron won't care unless you are Jimmy Carr.
I have my own tv channel, what have you got?

Right now the tax system is fair and thanks to the liberals the tories have seen the sense in raising lower thresholds

Ach sure you are only young Russ, we'll give you a free pass on that nonsense. I'm not talking about General taxation rates or personal allowances, rather how easy it is for the highest paid to decide, sorry chaps I don't fancy paying any tax.

Who in general have produced the current system? Why those with a vested interest in making it a tangled web of immense intricacy to enable them to exploit it.

VAT sold as a very fair tax, what could be fairer that the treasury taking a small charge on every transaction in the country barring an increasingly few exceptions? Well of course the impoverished are smitten hardest in terms of their miniscule disposable income gleaned by the treasury and the rate has practically trebled since it was seen as a small universal tax.

Your idea of fair is somewhat bizarre.

Very useful when you have a Shinner as an MP, sign up for email alerts of his speeches and you won't actually get any emails

Katie Hopkins says she will leave the UK if labour win the general election. Wonder how much Miliband paid for that gem?

I'm just reading a book called "The Establishment" by Owen Jones - it's a hatchet job on the senior reaches of British society.

I didn't realise that Miliband senior has earned over a million quid since stepping aside from politics from a whole set of consultancy work, advisory roles and the like.

Realistically, are there any Westminster politicians who are there because they believe in a cause? Or is politics just a stepping stone to get your snout in the trough because you are a bit miffed that contemporaries working in law, finance etc. all earn more than you? Policies friendly to a particular company = a highly paid job advising that company sometime in the future. It isn't party political either, they are all at it...

Apparently Labour cannot possibly go into coalition with the SNP because they are in favour of breaking the Union. How does that work? :stir: :duck:
From the rolling glens of Antrim through the hills of Donegal we will stand and shout for Ulster as we win both scrum and maul from the lovely lakes of Fermanagh tae the shores of ould Lough Gall we will scream and shout for Ulster as we beat them one and all!
