A strat is two planks of wood just bolted together and without pedals it takes a master to make it sound anywhere nearly as good as a Les Paul. Joe is in an experimental phase, he'll recover and return to his beloved Gibson.
Many have strayed before, even our very own Gary Moore, but they all come back to the solid mahogany, capped with maple and the sweet depth of the Burstbuckers.

Damien Dempsey again at a room in the Albert Hall, as he called it.

Just a couple of weeks to go before I see Kenny Rogers at the London Palladium.

It's been too long since I last saw that, one of my all time faves.
Might need to dig the DVD out and watch it when I'm off next week 8)

Been listening to a lot of the Peter Gabriel era Genesis albums again over the last month. Epic - almost makes me want to own a mellotron.

No 1 in the list of things to do when you acquire a time machine: go back to 1975 and shoot Phil Collins :thumleft:

Went to see Brandi Carlile at the Shepherds Bush Empire last night, so am sitting at home with a new playlist blasting out.
Absolutely amazing voice live on stage.

She was supported by Angaleena Presley who is well worth a listen to.

Having being introduced to Nathaniel Ratliffe earlier this year on this thread, I'm just having a catch up of his album with the Night Sweats, before heading up to Norwich, UEA (LCR), for their last concert in the UK, of this tour :D

Strangely a mix of Jefferson Airplane and Van and the Chieftans doing Star of the County Down on U Tube. Then Ohio by Neil Young. Rounding out with Country Girl by Sabs and Manowars Mountains. I was never confused.
